Tucker Carlson told Roseanne Barr that he actively started supporting former President Donald Trump after the FBI executed a search warrant on behalf of the Department of Justice and seized documents from Donald Trump's Mar-a-Lago last year.

The former Fox News host also announced that he would be voting for Donald Trump in the 2024 presidential election if the 45th president were to win the GOP primary.

Carlson slammed the "Biden regime" for weaponizing the Justice Department to target the president's top political opponent, Trump. He vowed to "lead protests" if Trump ends up being convicted in any of the four criminal cases against him, and said he was a staunch supporter of Trump's White House policies.

I certainly support Trump. I'll tell you that," Carlson told Barr. "I've always agreed with Trump's policies, always, and I lost friends over it. I've never really actively supported anybody because it's not my job to actively support people."

"But, I became an active Trump supporter when they raided Mar-a-Lago last summer, the summer of 2022. That just can't stand," Carlson continued.

"I agree with Trump on a lot, but even if I disagreed with Trump on a lot, I'd still be a Trump supporter because you cannot allow the regime, the President of the United States, to use the Justice Department to knock the frontrunner out of the race. You can't do that," he said.

"So it's bigger than Trump. It's bigger than Biden. It's a question of, you know, do you want to live in a free country with a functioning justice system? So, I'm voting for Trump. And if they convict him, I will send him the max donations and I will lead protests," Carlson asserted. "That's how I feel." He further said that this would not be the case if he thought that Trump had actually committed and crimes, but he does not believe that he has.

Carlson said that President Biden was also found to be in possession of classified documents but "only Trump is indicted."

"Like, tell me how that works," he questioned.

Carlson recently appeared alongside Trump at UFC 295 in Madison Square Garden. Videos of the event viral on social media and led to speculation that Carlson could take the VP spot on a Trump ticket. Trump said he would be open to considering Carlson as his potential running mate in 2024.
