The controversy of the Canadian shop teacher who wore giant prosthetic breasts to school may be over. Kayla Lemieux arrived to teach for the new school year at a new school, Nora Frances Henderson Secondary School in Hamilton, Ontario, without the breasts or blonde wig that caused such a stir last year.

Kayla Lemieux now appears as a man with a scruffy beard.

Prior to the teacher's first day at the new job, school principal Tom Fisher issued a memo to warn parents about a potential media storm on the first day of class, as Lemieux's "gender expression" was "recently the subject of public attention."

Fisher said students will likely be made to "enter and exit the building using assigned doors at entry and dismissal," as well as "use an intercom system to enter and exit the building."

This does not mark the first time Lemieux was caught dressing as a man. He was previously seen presenting himself as male outside of work hours earlier this year. The recent spotting of Lemieux and these previous sightings alike have led many to question if his claimed condition is some sort of hoax, or if he is intentionally acting as a troll of some sort.

A massive police presence is expected for the Nora Frances Henderson Secondary School's upcoming first day of class, but Halton Regional Police will not unveil what precise precautions will be taken, per the Daily Mail.

There are currently numerous security cameras posted up on the building as well as signs stating that "trespassers may be removed and/or prosecuted."

Lemieux's behavior and choice of wardrobe was defended last year by the Halton District School Board as part of his right to protection against discrimination for gender expression.

“It is important to recognize the impact that dress code policies can have on members of the transgender community,” Halton District School Board said. “Most notably, it is important for employers to make allowances to ensure that these employees are able to express themselves in accordance with their lived gender.”

Much of their concern, however, was over the potential liability that would come with telling the teacher he could not wear giant fake breasts to school, as it could be seen to be discrimination against a man for presenting as a woman when a woman would not face the same obstacles when she presents as a woman.

“If an employer’s dress code and grooming standards place more difficult requirements on female employees relative to those placed on male employees, or require female employees to dress in a manner with is more conventional, such standards could form the basis of a discrimination claim under the Code,” the report from the school board said.
