A former employee of Walt Disney World Hollywood Studios in Florida has been arrested and admitted to taking hundreds of videos up the skirts and dresses of unsuspecting women for six years.
Jorge Diaz Vega, 26, was arrested after a security guard witnessed him recording an "upskirt" video of an 18-year-old female guest at the Star Wars-themed store where he worked, Fox News reported.
According to the arrest affidavit, Diaz Vega was arrested on March 31, after he admitted to taking hundreds of videos up the skirts and dresses of women at the theme park for six years.
Diaz Vega said he recorded the videos as a "guilty pleasure" since "it is hard to find them online." He told police he had over 500 videos on his phone.
A security guard witnessed Diaz Vega taking a video of the 18-year-old girl on March 31 who was in the Star Wars-themed Dok-Ondar’s Den of Antiquities with her fiancé shopping for lightsabers.
According to an arrest report, the guard reported Diaz Vega, and security officers informed the girl that someone had been caught taking a picture under her dress at the store.
Diaz Vega was booked into the Orange County Jail and charged with third-degree felony video voyeurism for recording female guests without their knowledge.
Walt Disney World confirmed to FOX 35 that Diaz Vega is no longer an employee of the company.
In response to Disney's public criticism over Florida's passing of The Parental Rights in Education Act, which limits instruction on sexual orientation and gender studies in public schools, Republican Governor Ron DeSantis has worked to revoke a development agreement Disney signed with the previous board of the Reedy Creek Improvement District, now known as the Central Florida Tourism Oversight District.
Last week, DeSantis said there was an opportunity to potentially develop land within the independent district that's not owned by Disney for a state park, another theme park, or even a state prison. It was unclear if DeSantis was joking.
